My name is Tom Krebs. I was born and raised in North Dakota. My love of nature was cultivated at an early age while working out at our farm and also while spending time in the outdoors with my dad. I am an artist, specializing in metal sculpture as well as designing unique products made from metal, wood and a variety of other materials. I enjoy engaging in many creative pursuits and have always been fascinated with beauty/aesthetics which eventually led to my love of Photography. When I first discovered photography it was like the missing link that tied all of these interests together. You know how sometimes when you do something for the first time you just know that you’ll be doing it for the rest of your life? Certain passions are so in sync with your soul that it’s almost not even a choice.. Well that’s how I feel about nature photography. It is in essence, the immortalizing of time. A way of preserving a memory or point in time so that it never fades or grows stale and then sharing it with the world. It’s something that I love and I’ll always be doing it as long as I’m able.. I am so fortunate to be able to pursue my many passions and to make a living in the process. Whether I’m creating a metal sculpture, designing a new product, photographing nature or producing a video.. Every day is a good day to be alive and to spend constantly improving my craft.
